The time it takes to handcraft products varies. See each individual product listing for the production time it takes to handcraft the product after the order is placed prior to shipping. Oftentimes, orders process faster than the time allotted, but I can’t guarantee a faster processing time.
Made to Order vs. Pre-Made
Check a listing carefully to understand if a product is pre-made and ready to ship, or if the product is made-to-order.
Both are handmade, but the pre-made is shipment ready while the made-to-order products vary in the time it takes to be created for you.
Look for the following image if a product is ready for shipment in 1-2 business days after the order is placed:
The product(s) you receive might vary slightly from the product picture due to the nature of your product(s) being 100% handmade to order. Also, the color of a product may vary slightly from what is seen in the listing photos due the uniqueness of the hue of each piece of leather used. Computer monitor screen settings may also make the color appear slightly different.
Care for your new product(s) by following the leather care instructions and read below.
Your product(s) can be damaged if:
* The product is left out in direct sunlight
* The product is exposed to water
* The product is saturated by inappropriate or too much of cleaners, conditioners, or finishes
* The product is stored in a bag with no air flow (may result in mold growth)
* The product is incorrectly used
Please use the color chart(s) to prevent errors in ordering. Some listings may be limited in certain color options. Please see the listing for more details.

All items in my shop are hand drawn by me, unless otherwise stated. I do use some traditional western leather craft patterns, which is stated in the listing. Please note that if a custom design is requested, I will not accept copyrighted designs.
All designs sold by The Leather Smithy, with exception of traditional leather craft patterns, are the property of The Leather Smithy LLC (this includes hand drawn custom designs drawn by The Leather Smithy).
The Leather Smithy offer FREE Shipping via USPS First Class Mail to all orders placed within the United States. Expedited shipping options are available at regular shipping cost during checkout. At this time I do not offer free shipping for international orders.

We happily support and love our international customers.
We ship all International products through USPS. Please note that delivery, after the item is shipped, for international packages can take between 1-4 weeks depending on the type of postage chosen.
The Leather Smithy is not responsible for duty, customs, import, VAT, or brokerage fees for international shipping.
These charges come from your country during importation of your package. The Leather Smithy is not responsible for delays due to customs.
We do our best to apply fair shipping costs to each order.

Selecting expedited shipping during checkout does not ensure a faster processing time. Your product may still need the production time stated after the order is placed to be handmade. Each item’s production time can be found in the product’s listing details.
Our policy lasts 30 days. If 30 days have gone by since your purchase, unfortunately I can’t offer you a refund or exchange.
Personalized and/or customized goods are exempt from being returned unless the product arrives defective.
Jewelry items and hair accessories are non-returnable due to hygienic and safety reasons.
Additional non-returnable items:
* Gift cards
* Sale items
To complete your return, I require a receipt or proof of purchase.
There are certain situations where only partial refunds are granted:
* Any item not in its original new condition, is damaged, or is missing parts for reasons not due to our error.
* Any item that is returned more than 30 days after delivery
Once your return is received and inspected, I will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. I will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.
If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within a certain amount of days.
Buyers are responsible for return shipping costs. If the item is not returned in its original condition, the buyer is responsible for any loss in value or the return may be rejected.
Late or missing refunds
After you have contacted me about a refund and I have confirmed that it has been approved and processed, if you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again.
Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted.
Next contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.

Only regular priced items may be refunded, unfortunately sale items cannot be refunded.

You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.
Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you, may vary.
If you are shipping an item over $75, you should consider using a shipping service with tracking or purchasing shipping insurance. I don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item.
DOG COLLAR DISCLAIMER: These dog collars are not meant to be used as a tie-back. They are durable, but are not meant for that type of use. The Leather Smithy is not responsible for any damage or harm caused to the dog or collar if the collar is used as a tie-back collar, or if the owner neglects to watch the dog. If you need a tie back collar, look into protection-grade collars that are a minimum of 2 inches wide for your dog’s saftey. These collars are made from high-quality leather and will not give away easily.
